بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

Shuru Allah ke naam se jo bada meharbaan nihayat rahem wala hai

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

1Ayah 1

Juz 30

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴿1﴾

Transliteration

Izash shamsu kuwwirat

WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness,

وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ﴿2﴾

Wa izan nujoomun kadarat

وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ﴿3﴾

Wa izal jibaalu suyyirat

and when the mountains are made to vanish,

وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ﴿4﴾

Wa izal 'ishaaru 'uttilat

and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended,

وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ﴿5﴾

Wa izal wuhooshu hushirat

and when all beasts are gathered together,

وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ﴿6﴾

وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ﴿7﴾

and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds],

وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ﴿8﴾

Wa izal maw'oodatu su'ilat

and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask

بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ﴿9﴾

Bi ayyi zambin qutilat

10Ayah 10

وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ﴿10﴾

Wa izas suhufu nushirat

and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded,

11Ayah 11

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ﴿11﴾

Wa izas samaaa'u kushitat

وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ﴿12﴾

Wa izal jaheemu su'-'irat

and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright,

وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ﴿13﴾

Wa izal jannatu uzlifat

and when paradise is brought into view:

14Ayah 14

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ﴿14﴾

'Alimat nafsum maaa ahdarat

[on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself].

15Ayah 15

فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ﴿15﴾

Falaaa uqsimu bil khunnas

ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ﴿16﴾

Al jawaaril kunnas

17Ayah 17

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ﴿17﴾

Wallaili izaa 'as'as

وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ﴿18﴾

Wassubhi izaa tanaffas

19Ayah 19

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ﴿19﴾

Innahoo laqawlu rasoolin kareem

behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle,

20Ayah 20

ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ﴿20﴾

Zee quwwatin 'inda zil 'arshi makeen

with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned

مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ﴿21﴾

22Ayah 22

وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ﴿22﴾

Wa maa saahibukum bimajnoon

For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman:

23Ayah 23

Juz 30

وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ﴿23﴾

Wa laqad ra aahu bilufuqil mubeen

he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon;

24Ayah 24

Juz 30

وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ﴿24﴾

Wa maa huwa 'alal ghaibi bidaneen

and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception.

25Ayah 25

Juz 30

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ﴿25﴾

Transliteration

Wa maa huwa biqawli shaitaanir rajeem

26Ayah 26

Juz 30

فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ﴿26﴾

Fa ayna tazhaboon

Whither, then, will you go?

27Ayah 27

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿27﴾

In huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind –

28Ayah 28

لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ﴿28﴾

Liman shaaa'a minkum ai yastaqeem

to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way.

29Ayah 29

Juz 30

وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿29﴾

Transliteration

Wa maa tashaaa'oona illaaa ai yashaaa 'al laahu Rabbul 'Aalameen

But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way].
